Goodness, how he gossips. Would you care if all your memories were returned with haste? It would seem overwhelming to get adjusted to this place and all that at once.

Though if I might ask a curious question, are you in this endeavor for Glacies' sake or do you have other interests in this matter?
mind_blown: (Better get to diggin)

[personal profile] mind_blown 2021-02-14 07:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I do tend to take my memories rapid fire, so perhaps I'm not the right person to ask that.

As for your second question, depends on how you define "interest." Do I believe Absinthe's a piece of shit, who definitely deserves some sort of punishment? Yeah. Would I be involved in this particular plot if I weren't asked?

No.

At least someone finally has the right of it. Though I wonder if you will burn yourself out depending on what you find.

[He just sighs at that.]

I won't ask you to be philosophically deep on a lack of understanding simply leads to a cycle of bloodletting, but it seems that you are here because of Glacies' desires misguided as they are.

[personal profile] mind_blown 2021-02-14 07:12 pm (UTC)(link)
I already know about the whole bloodletting cycle. It's why I prefer to take care of things quickly. A single shot to the head, y'know.

Revenge feels like it's always bitten me in the ass.

[he doesn't answer the first comment]

Practical. Efficient. A little cold. I'm surprised she would partner with you in this. How desperate and passionate on the subject she must be.

And impatient.

The situation will resolve itself over time, but I suppose the causalities along the way are too much to bear.
mind_blown: (What's up danger?)

[personal profile] mind_blown 2021-02-14 08:03 pm (UTC)(link)
You aren't the only one surprised by that, I'll give you that.

Anyway, casualties here are a bit meaningless. But seems perfectly reasonable for me to want an accounting that I guarantee's not gonna come without a little roughing up.

[personal profile] firstworldproblem 2021-02-15 08:29 am (UTC)(link)
Say you get your list, then what? Shame him. Send him to bed without supper. I simply fail to see what all this effort is worth.
mind_blown: (But I'm making myself drown)

[personal profile] mind_blown 2021-02-15 09:37 am (UTC)(link)
[he shrugs.]

Call me a softie, but I think protesting what it means to get the list to her shows you've got as much tunnel vision about this as I do.

He killed her, then lied about it til she remembered. Among other shit.

This's tame. But it's what she wants to do.

[personal profile] firstworldproblem 2021-02-15 09:49 am (UTC)(link)
If you are telling me this is about revenge rather than her misguided sense of justice I'm going to be even more unimpressed. And all the more foolish for entertaining her request.

And she knows exactly why he did it. I'm not going to claim his actions righteous, just or anything positive, but the situation is a little more intricate than that.
mind_blown: (But I'm making myself drown)

[personal profile] mind_blown 2021-02-15 09:52 am (UTC)(link)
Nah. It's her sense of justice.

But I think she's got a little more room to talk than either of us.

Anyway, we're not gonna agree on this. And we got some time to kill.
firstworldproblem: (Screenshot (108))

[personal profile] firstworldproblem 2021-02-15 10:01 am (UTC)(link)
I suppose we aren't going to agree on this because she could actually solve the problem instead of throwing straw on a fire and hoping it extinguishes itself.

[Says the nosy and shady man.]

I can hardly play cards or chess like this. Unless you need proof of my suffering. I could scream if you like.
mind_blown: (Things get lost in translation)

[personal profile] mind_blown 2021-02-15 10:02 am (UTC)(link)
Screaming could be useful.

Could play monopoly and get the same effect.

We seem to have a similar result with Uno.

Though now I will need to look up this game for potential game night activities.

It's hell on earth.

[he shrugs.]

So, what is your deal with Levity? Assuming you coulda told him his name and skipped the whole amnesia name bit.

[personal profile] firstworldproblem 2021-02-16 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
He was one of my dearest friends. To whom I would seek when I needed council and who could always see through me when I lied to myself. And yes I could have but yet I did hesitate.

I can only imagine how disorienting it is being here without one's memories. It must feel incredibly overwhelming. Thus I decided that perhaps it would be best if he did not have to acclimate to this place and my unrealistic expectations at once. The memories will come in time. I also did not want to force upon him a bond that was not of his choosing. It would grow again if it was meant to.

Besides, if he truly desires to know, he will push. Rarely have I been able to deny his wishes. And I have been watching him afar to ensure he is well supported.
mind_blown: (It won't be so bad)

[personal profile] mind_blown 2021-02-20 12:25 am (UTC)(link)
It's such a hands off approach.

Though, my trajectory here woulda been different if everyone took the approach you're taking.

I dunno if I'd say you're doing the right thing.
firstworldproblem: (Screenshot (66))

[personal profile] firstworldproblem 2021-02-20 02:35 am (UTC)(link)
If he had no one to fill the void, I would step in. As I said, he is well supported.

Can I count on you to be one of those whom he leans on?
mind_blown: (Better get to diggin)

[personal profile] mind_blown 2021-02-20 10:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Interesting question.

What with the whole kidnapping plot going on right now. Not sure what to think about your willingness to look past that.
firstworldproblem: (Screenshot (16))

[personal profile] firstworldproblem 2021-02-21 12:02 am (UTC)(link)
That depends on what happens to Absinthe. And you have loyalty.

Don't get me wrong. I don't find you a prime example of mankind, but rather one I can understand and predict.
mind_blown: (With a blindfold on.)

[personal profile] mind_blown 2021-02-21 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
... Masterclass backhanded compliment there, I guess. Though, I do think the "understand and predict" bit's the thing that'll bite you in the ass.
firstworldproblem: (Screenshot (221))

[personal profile] firstworldproblem 2021-02-21 12:11 am (UTC)(link)
It has and it has not. One can no be so rigid in their scheming after all. No plan goes unchanged against unrelenting reality. Nor man and his indomitable spirit.

But am I wrong in that you will fiercely protect those whom you care about regardless of most moral quandaries?
